Hi all! I was wondering how long have you guys or girls been using Photoshop? I'm using it for about 1,5 years. Started from version 4 to 6. And I love it! Although I have 1,5 years P experience I'm still not an expert. :( |

I was aware of photoshop for a long time before I ever used it. The first copy I ever used was version 3 (I think). Of course, I was in the "camera room" for years before being placed in front of a puter and told "Here try this" I've been doing print graphics for about 14 years web graphics.....about a year (maybe) |

I see you are real veteran in the design business. Cool! I bet it earns good? My study at the art academy starts soon!! So I'll be professional in a few years. :D |

Yeah, it earns very well in fact. I've never worried about eating ;) Where I have seen the REAL potential for profit is not working in the design business though..... Its working for YOURSELF....... dont get me wrong... I still go to work everyday.... but I am making more money at home....(if you look at US dollars per hour) |

I've been using Photoshop for about 3 years I suppose. I agree that working for yourself makes more money. It's just hard sometimes to keep steady money coming in. I have my own web design company with my father and some other people we contract with, and the hardest part about it is keeping steady money coming in. But when it does, it pays a LOT better than any 'regular' job. derek |

Um, geez, let's see, like version 3 for a bit, then 4. So that was...1994? Maybe 1995. And anyone who calls themself a Photoshop expert is (IMO) lying Program's just too deep to know it all... While working for yourself is where the real money is at, it's also a good way to not get a steady paycheck Chris |

agreed! and I'll bet none of us use even a quarter of photoshop's potential. thats the great thing about boards like this....if we all add our 15/20% usage of the program we ALL learn something PS: 1994 sounds about right |

Yes, I agree! Photoshop is too difficult to fully master! I think I only use 5% of its potential. But I'm still practicing everyday..... I have plans to work for my own when I get my design degree after 4 years. Much more freedom I think, but harder to do, because you are on your own. |

But I'm catching on VERY quickly.....especially for someone who goes to school full time and works 40-45 hours/week.
