Whoa.

It's been forever. I've been addicted to WoW... still playing for the past year. Got a 60 mage and rogue on Burning Blade... got 100+ days played time total. =P

What've you all been up to?

i've been playing wow too, lvl 60 paladin and 56 rogue. been through MC, and killed razorgore in blackwing lair so far. no silly PVP for me! oh and my days played is less than 40 i think.

Nice, our guild killed Nefarian last week, spent 6 hours today wiping on him over and over. Got him to the 20% mark 3 times, and died on the AoE part. The mage is my main, I have 5/8 netherwind and a bunch of sick gear, average 900 frostbolt, with trinks + ap it crits for 3.6k

sweet. i have 6/8 lawbringer and epic rings and so forth. been missing a lot of raids recently due to work. crazy hours in retail.

today i felt really burnt out in WoW. probably because i was in a pickup group and it was horrible. i usually don't play too much except on our raid days.

My parents go through phases of trying to get me to play less... those phases always go away.

I'm going to half-way support Derek in that I play approximately 320 hours of golf every year (about 12 hours per week). I don't know if that's any more productive than playing World of Warcraft, but nobody would tell me that I need to "get a life", except my wife. Both can lead to relationship deficiencies for sure. Of course, I could never play a video game like that, but I'm not going to hold it against anyone who does, simply because I too have one of those time-consuming habits. Well, I guess on another note, I can only golf 6 months per year, of which I spend the other 6 months immersed in football, which is probably no less stupid than World of Warcraft.

no hobby is stupid. everyone already has a "life", and they can do whatever they want with it, whether it be collecting stamps or playing sports or staring at a wall. if you added up all the hours you spent doing any one activity, it would seem crazy. say, watching tv, or eating, or sleeping, or going to the bathroom.
