getting my font to a mac user |

hello- i have a TTF i created in Windows and I need to get this font to a designer using a Mac. She can't get it to work. What format should it be? should a TTF work on a mac? Thanks! |

I was gonna say that it will work, but Macs seem to prefer Postscript fonts Chris |

Nahhh...Macs can use TrueType as well as PostScript fonts. The problem with sharing them between the two platforms has more to do with some data bits that tell whichever platform that the file is a font and to recognise and use it as such. TransType, by Pyrus, is a little utility application that can change these bits back and forth in a font so they can be shared cross-platform. |

i thought that the TTF should not have been a problem. it all ended well though. i've learned to smile, nod, and keep my mouth shut.
