I'd have to agree with Deker when he states:
Again it's not the blog's fault that they come up in those listings, it's that the companies web site is not as search engine friendly and doesn't receive as much traffic as the blogs do. Or you could blame Google for having their engine written in a way that promotes blogs.

It really isn't the blog's fault, but I know what it's like to do a search and find information you're really not looking for, although at times, for me, it's led me to better information. Although rare at times but it happens. I know, we want what we're looking for right away, but again, Deker has a good point.

Personally I like blogs that are serious about what they write about in regards to politics and current events. Again Deker points out that:
Blogs almost always get news first, and it can spread around the internet to hundreds of blogs within a few hours

I think blogs are really moving over mainstream media and coming up with so much information which is why I tend to read them. I don't like the diary stuff myself and coffee over muffins, but it's there nonetheless.

Now for those who appreciate bloggers, I wonder how many have seen the posts by mattboy_slim. He tells us once and tells us twice of these crazy lawmakers wanting to put a tariff on bloggers. Any opinions on these posts?

Overall I think blogs really help encourage proper markup and creativity over tables and all that good stuff. These are my 2 cents.

Cheers!

That's why I kept my blog private so no one else can read it. I love blog when I just want to express myself and write whatever; and let it all out. It helped when I was having problem dealing with things (ie stress, etc.). I don't want anyone seeing it because the information that I put is about personal issues.

I am, read that BlameBush one, it's just pure sarcasm. The other two are outright Conservative blogs, both of which were instrumental in the Dan Rather "Memogate" scandal.

Slim those sites at first glance must have come off as some pretty sophisticated sarcasm, because I didn't catch it. Or it could be that it's Thursday and this has been a long week. But after looking at the Blame Bush, that's real hillarious man.

I was almost falling outta my chair with some of the comments I was reading. Good stuff man, good stuff; worth bookmarking and getting the feeds.

Cheers!

From BlameBush:

I notice that the Ministry of Right Wing Propaganda, aka Wikipedia, has already revised history to falsely assert that Hillary spent the Vietnam War at Yale Law School, burning bras and "not inhaling" with her chubby boyfriend.

But Hillary's a tiger. She won't roll over and take it meekly like John Kerry did. In a pre-emptive strike against those who would portray her as an anti-military, anti-gun, soft-on-terrorism, left-wing radical, Hillary plans to make several appearances toting an AK-47 and wearing a necklace of Viet Cong ears. Simultaneously, all three major networks will air home video reinactments of Hillary's many exploits in The 'Nam, including a controversial incident where she put the torch to a North Vietname village suspected of harboring "abortionists and queers".

Last Saturday morning, Pope John Paul II was suddenly and mysteriously struck down in the prime of his life. Exactly how Bush did it is unclear, but his motives are as obvious as Jocelyn Wildenstein in a roomful of teen beauty queens.

Great stuff.
