Hi-Rez photo cd slideshow - Any Suggestions?

I want to make a CD with my vacation pictures which basically plays a slideshow when inserted in a computer. I want it to play full screen, and possibly have music in the background.

Cross platform is a must... Any suggestions?

Shockwave, Flash?

Let me know if you guys have any ideas, or know of any pre-packed software apps that can do this.

this is basically what iPhoto does. not sure what you can export to as far as formats that might be crossplatform but the basic slideshow is cake in iPhoto, its worth looking into.

I made the assumption that since he was asking he didn't have a Mac. Most Mac users know their way around their computers better than PC users do.
