Hi, I'm looking for some way to create (or have someone create for me) a few .emb files. Is there a software package someone can recommend, or a service somewhere?

I've never done any embroidery work, nor do I want to. I have a few clients who want me to supply them with .emb files instead of the more traditional logo format .eps. I guess they're building hats or jerseys or something.

Any advice?

thanks

GG, is the embroidery shop requiring the file in .emb? I did some work a few years ago, and the embroidery shop simply wanted .eps, and they would convert them to their needed .emb. I think your best bet might be to call up a local shop and see if they could do the conversion for you.

Unless it's possible for you to obtain a trail version of Wilcom's software...

sorry. I suck at this lately...

Thanks Matt, I checked into that demo at my office. Not a bad idea.

Funny though - the shop that wanted the .emb files was trying to pull a fast one on one of our new secretaries - they already had the .emb files on file, but wanted to try to weasel the setup fees from the new girl. These shops don't want to give you the .emb files upon completion, because they're afraid we'll go to their competitors. Now I will. losers.

Awesome, freakin' bastages. I despise the fact that there are companies out there who attempt to hold their customers hostage so that they can bend them over at every turn.
