I am working on my resume. I did it all in Photoshop and then export it as a pdf file. The resume is only one page but I want to include my portfolio in the same pdf file. Right now I have each page as a seperate .psd file that is 11 inch * 8.5 inch. How do I make it all one pdf file with pages? Is this possible using photoshop? |

To the best of my knowledge, no, not with PS. You can easily do this however with Adobe Acrobat. Menu >>> Document | Page | Insert |

The good news, Yes, you can turn it all into a pdf depending on the version (CS and 7) of photoshop we are talking about. The bad news, However, just because you can doesn't mean you should. Why? Because the file will always be too large. And since we are talking graphic representations of your work, screen resolution quality counts. Also, I assume that you will need to email your resume and that will be nearly impossible if your PDF is 2+MB. Further, the PDF will never be more than a picture. What does that matter? If we are talking sending a resume to an agency or other companies which will merge your resume on a database, something that is image based will not read. On the whole the best way would either be with a traditional word proccessing (word) program or design program (quark/indesign), with the second best option being in illustrator (CS/9) make sure that when you save it that you maintain the text editing capabilities checked tho... The hopeful news, If you are going to provide the PDF on a CD or DVD and distribute your resume that way, size will not be an issue to worry about. So, yes you can use a PDF... B |
