What are some good PC games? I'm really, really bored and .... well ... I need something to do in the near future. Any suggestions?

i like halflife 2 and world of warcraft a lot(has monthly fee, but first month is free). you can buy hl2 online, also if you haven't beaten the hl1 you can download that along with halflife 2 and other mods. i hear farcry is really fun too, i haven't got around to play it yet though.

Far Cry is pretty good. It didn't hold my interest though. HL2 is fantastic, as is World of Warcraft.

Far Cry = good but short. Pirates = worth a whack, so I hear. But only if you are into both genres. (That being pirates and strategy) Unreal Tournament 2004 = always fun, MMOFPS and completely free. Rome: Total War = GREAT FSCKING STRATEGY GAME The Lord of the Rings, The Battle for Middle-earth = Not too bad of a strategy game either Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War = pretty good I hear. I was considering getting this one. If I think of more I'll post em. |

Call of Duty is a blast, but waaaay to easy when set on "Easy". That's the only PC game I've played in recent history I think, other than Freecell.

Call of Duty is indeed really good. And Medal of Honor. They are both pretty short though. For staying power, go with with World of Warcraft. You should be able to get a few hundred hours out of that. ;)

Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines (my new xmas present). Same engine as HL2. Half FPS, half RPG (mostly rpg).....great if you like vampires or violence.

Or just wait until GTA: San Andreas comes out for PC. Of course, if you ever desire to have a life again, I would advise against purchasing it.

Wifey has been playing Sims2 non-stop since Christmas. Up 'til 2 a.m. one morning; up until 4 a.m. last nite! If you were a fan of Sims--she says they fixed many of the things that were nuisances in the first series. I played UT2k4 for a while today--that was fun. Guess I haven't lost all my skills. |
