Boy I wish I knew where to put this and a non-misleading title. Specially since it is my first post. Oh well I guess we all make do with what we have. So here is my problem. I tend to do image collages because I am not an artist by vocation or training. I have the desire but lack the ability and time to cultivate the skills necessary for painting or drawing... That having been said I love working in photshop but have been forced to use only pictures that I have taken for two reason and there in lies my question. Do all you guys use your own photos for your stuff or are there reposatories of photos out there. I've seen the Stock Photos at deviantart.com but I'd have to post a small novels worth of extra information if I were to use those as my primary sources. Lastly I will be putting up several images that I have worked on for critique just as soon as I am able to find a spot I can post em so I can link em into here. I look forward to getting your guys advice. |

I use the stock photo site called : http://www.sxc.hu <--- Most of the pictures are royalty free and aslong as you use them for non commercial use (personal use) you don't have to credit the photographer but they do ask that you send them an email telling them where you have used it so they can see some other stock photo sites are : http://www.istockphoto.com Also check out the resource forum here because we have a big list of them : http://www.teamphotoshop.com/forum/vbforum/showthread.php?t=8228 Hope that helps Marc |
