Deker started this thread in august, but I figured I'd go on ahead and start a new one for the fall season, just for the hell of it.

Anyone got anything new they're just itching to tell other people about?

Lately I've been into soundtracks. I downloaded the ones for Kill Bill 1 & 2, both phenomenal, The Village (amazing), The Last Emperor (Also great, and apparently produced by David Byrne?!) and, seriously, one of the best soundtracks around is The Escaflowne the movie soundtrack, which I just downloaded last night. Aside from a couple Japanese lyric tracks, that seem kinda cheaply produced, the whole soundtrack is amazing. Seriously, track it down.

In the past month or so I've downloaded these:

Depeche Mode, Remixes 81...04 (Limited Edition, hmm....not anymore)
Mogwai's entire career (Come On Die Young, Happy Music For Happy People, Kicking A Dead Pig [Mogwai Remixed :1], Young Team)
Tenacious D, Tenacious D (finally the whole thing)
The Streets, A Grand Don't Come For Free
Snow Patrol, Final Straw
Fatboy Slim, Palookaville (new one)
Five Blind Boys Of Alabama
Massive Attack, The Danny The Dog Soundtrack (Which looks like a phenomenal movie, by the way)
The Killers, Hot Fuss
Keane, Hopes And Fears
Cake, Pressure Chief
K-OS, Joyful Rebellion
RJD2, Since We Last Spoke, and Deadringer
The Prodigy, Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned
Placebo, Once More With Feeling (Greatest Hits)
N.E.R.D, Fly Or Die
Mos Def, The New Danger
Martin O'Donnell, The Halo Soundtrack
Harry Gregson-Williams, The Metal Gear Solid 2: TSOL Soundtrack
Har Mar Superstar, Har Mar Superstar
Godspeed You Black Emperor, Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas To Heaven
The Faint, Wet From Birth
Erykah Badu, Mama's Gun
Aphex Twin, Surfing Of Sine Waves (First Album)
The Album Leaf, In A Safe Place
Bjork, Medulla
Juno Reactor, Labyrinth
Jimmy Eat World, Futures

The ever-popular standby's include:
Sigur Ros
Hooverphonic
Andre 3000
Beastie Boys
Brian Eno
Chemicl Brothers
Death Cab For Cutie
The Postal Service (New song on the wicker park soundtrack, cover of Phil Collins Against All Odds)
Radiohead
Sigur Ros
Doves
Dntel
Etc, Etc, Etc...

You get the idea. My iTunes playlist is at 1,246 songs right now, and I'm presently downloading 9 cd's. I found a new Torrent Tracker . On the hopper presently are some older Basement Jaxx, Groove Armada, Crystal Method and Neptunes.

Anyway, let's hear what you all have been listening to lately. If you've got anything good, let's hear about it.

Yeah, I heard that ones good. I've seen it on SuprNova.org a few times.

Good lord, for anyone that's heard RJD2 before, and liked them, I gotta tell you guys, go get the new K-OS. It's devastatingly amazing. Really, some of the greatest production I've ever heard.

I gotta hear the rammstein one. Hopefully its as good as the older stuff (like Herzeleid/sensucht).

For the last week ive been listing to the new album from the Trans Siberian Orchestra. Hair metal for the holidays....doesnt get any better than that :D. If anyone's interested......i definitely recommend "Christmas Jam" (heavier than you think) and "Wish Liszt (toy shop madness)".

The Hero soundtrack is really good.

ooh, how's the new collective soul zyc, sound like their old stuff or have they evolved a bit? i love their older albums.

been listening to a couple random things here, a band called 12stone that's pretty good (their frontman was the male vocal on the first evanescence radio track) and a christian artist named jeremy camp that i'm really diggin'. also some good stuff from a local band i'm working with called the pilots, they're getting some airplay on a big houston alternative station and their new ep sounds amazing. the older stuff on the site isn't a fair representation of their current sound but it gives you an idea, i'll see if i can upload a new track for y'all to listen to.
