I was wondering if I could get some help with Firefox from someone, possibly Deker since you always have cool links that explain everything.

As I've switched over from IE to Firefox I noticed that in my text area on my email at hotmail, and yahoo, I don't have the toolbar at the top of the text area to style my paragraphs, fonts and so one. This was one thing I like using as I could easily post links and make my fonts standout or change colors.

So I went on Mozillazine and this one guy directed me to the following link:

I'm not sure what to do with it, but I've searched for a plugin, extension and nothing, zilch, nada. Is there anyone who knows how I can incorporate the toolbar to my text area on yahoo or hotmail on Firefox, or will I just have to live with a plain text editor?

Is this how yahoo and hotmail and other free email services program their text area, only to work with IE?

Any help would be highly appreciated, and I look forward to some help and responses. Thanks a million!

Yes they program it to be IE only. The link that guy gave you won't do you any good unless you can edit hotmail's HTML templates. Which is obviously impossible. So yeah, basically there is nothing you can do since they program it to use IE only.

Well hotmail is MSN, and msn is microsoft...so is IE. In other words good for them, bad for Mozilla users.

Thanks for your replies guys. I figured that Yahoo and Hotmail catered to IE, but oh well. I'm sure now that Firefox is on the rise, there'll be some alternative uses. Thanks for your time.

Cheeers!
