I made a logo for a client and dont know how much to charge him cause ive never made logos before, just websites and banners. It's a nice clean professional looking logo for a clothing company. Thanks, *dc |

As a general guide to work, use this formula (not mine). Overhead + Profit Rate + Salary / Monthly Billable Hours = Hourly Rate. Not really helpful if it's a one off job though. The best advice given to me on pricing was - the client always knows how much they want to pay. Ask them what their budget for the project is, then you have an idea as to what you will be able to offer. Can't really do that retrospectively, sadly. |

Yeah...you should've sorted this out before you started working for the client. But I guess you have to learn sometime. I can't really give good advice as what to do now, because I've never been in the situation, but next time you should definately find out how much the client is willing to pay and then work out the price from there.

And D.C.... If you're thinking about creating a logo...a REAL logo... as opposed to some fancy schmancy beveled and effected splash image, you really need to read my pal's "Logo Manifesto" http://www.adobeforums.com/cgi-bin/webx?14@251.owf1dVrkgkW.1009511@.1dea2d83/0 |
