Holy Video Game News and iPod Contest Batman!

Video game news that is possibly of interest to some of you:

The new Nintendo handheld the DS (the one not replacing the Gameboy) will be launching the 21st of November, with a pricetag of a solid $149.99. Frankly, I reserved mine the same day it was announced at E3.

Item two, Sony is launching a very noticeably slimmed down version of the PS2, like they did with the PSone. This slimmed down version is smaller in every aspect, height and length. It has a pretty f-ugly top loading drive though, if you ask me. But you didn't, so whatever.


iPod Contest:
The good folks over at HP donated a 20 gig HP+iPod to the other good folks at Gizmodo (the gadget news site, well one of them) to use in a contest that can be located here:

It is a music orriented quiz, to be completed and sent in, and then all who get the 10 questions right will have their names placed in a hat, and randomly drawn to be a winner.

Yea, I can't wait for the DS, and it's too bad that I already have a PS2. But I wonder if the slimmed down version can use the hard drive and the network adapter, I'd have to get a look at one.

Now they should try slimming down the Xbox. Jeeze, talk about big. Now Nintendo knew what they were doing with Gamecbue, small, light, portable, just what you need in an attractive design.

slightly off the subject, but am i the only one who doesn't "get" the HP iPod? i mean, its an iPod...with an HP sticker on the box.

Mark, the new PS2 has Ethernet and a modem built-in. Don't know about the hard drive though.

Yeah the HP ipod is stupid. At least the prototype they showed like 6 months ago was a different color...

Oh man. :( And I needa buy the Network Adapter for my old skool PS2 that's now the same price. LAAAAME.

Mmm, I'd rather buy this if I had the money.
