I wasnt sure if i should put this in the comp section or just throw it here, so i just figured what the heck, i will put it here :p Anyways... I was wondering how many of you guys that using windows... are using service pack 2? I heard its not that much more secure that the current service pack one, as a matter of fact its worse. Again this is just something I heard, I dont know if there is any truth behind it. Just wondering weither or not I should download it in install it or just wait until microsoft/windows... tells me to download it. I thought maybe someone here might be able to shine a little light on this messed up OS that is windows  |

It's not worse, it just likes to screw up a lot of other programs, which is one of the reasons why some universities are barring the automatic updates on their networks.

I'm going to wait a least a couple months. I want to read all the dirt on it before I update. I don't think it's worth taking the chance to mess up programs when I have programs protecting my computer. Windows is secure enough for me right now anyways.

I ran it the first day it was released. No problems at all. It's been in beta for months so most of the bugs should have been found. Not all, but most. I check the windows update site about 4-7 times a week and I have yet to see a new security release since it has come out. You can always choose to save the temp files so you can "uninstall" it should you encounter too many issues. |

I installed this POS, and now i cannot connect to the internet. I'm going standard CAT5 into the wall here at CSU. I didn't expect any problems, but i cannot get my connection to work! It works fine in FC2, and worked fine in XP until this God-forsaken service pack.. I DIDN'T CHANGE A THING. Nos. |

It blocks around 180 programs, or as moOchan said, ****s em up! Maybe better to wait for a 2b release or something, where they have fixed the bugs or something. |
