Is anyone here familiar with Gigabyte's "Dual BIOS" interface?

No matter what my boot order is, i always boot to the slave HD (WinXP). This causes problems because i have GRUB installed on the MBR in the master HD (FC2). The only way i can boot to the master HD is if i physically unplug HD-2.

I am not sure what the problem is, and maybe some of you with a Gigabyte motherboard can tell me of some option i have unknowingly left disabled or something.

are you sure that you have the jumpers properly set on both harddrives? What you want your slave drive to be may have the jumpers set to be a primary

First i had the pins set manually to master/slave. Then i tried moving both pins to cable select and making sure that the black cable was on the master HD, as the manual says to do.

So yes, i am sure that the physical hardware of it is correct. I'm not sure what i am missing, though... :(

How do you have Grub set up? WinXP cannot be boot as a slave drive, unless you trick Grub into thinking its a primary drive when it isn't...

Here's how i set XP up..

I had a slave 120GB and a master 80GB. I noticed that Windows wouldn't allow me to install XP onto the slave, so all i did was unplug the master, and voila. After XP was installed, i made sure to see if it would boot correctly, and then started with FC2 onto the master 80GB (that way GRUB can be written on hda1, MBR). Like i said, i put GRUB onto the MBR of the master 80GB, and changed the BIOS so that the boot order went to CD, HD-1, then HD-2.

I restarted, and i boot straight to XP. I have tried all sorts of boot orders, and it always boots to XP. As i said, the only way i can successfully boot to FC2 is if i unplug the XP hard drive (slave 120GB).
