I really need a resource like TPS but themed towards math! I tried to search google but got not what I was looking for. Any help is appreciated ;) Regards Fess |

Hey, thanks fellas Ahhhhhhhhh, book? I'm up to my head in Photoshop books/mag, maya books, & nutrition books. Anymore books & I'll go postal. :eek: Me & books is like this. I spend $$ on a book, & then i MUST read it or it just sits there bothering me...haunting me! :rolleyes: My problem was, converting ounces to milligrams I only know that 1 gram equals 1000 milligrams multiply ounces by 28.35 to convert ounces to grams multiply grams by 0.0353 to convert grams to ounces (yes, I know there are conversion chats on the internet http://www.easysurf.cc/metric/cnver3.htm , but I want to know how, not just push a button all the time) Anyway, I asked Dr.Math at http://mathforum.org/dr.math/ask/............ waiting for the formula Regards Fess |

That's your formula dude. ;) If x is the number of ounces, then: x * 28.35 [oz -> g] / 1000 [g -> mg] |

mo0chan is definitely super-wrong. Uncommon for an asian to be wrong at a math problem, but I'm half asian so at least i have some sort of right to contend >:P the formula for converting oz to mg, if x is the number of ounces, is: x * 0.0353 * 1000 OR x * 35.3 (how do you like that for a concise conversion) Proof that the formula works, as well as proof that I need a life. Hmm. A little insight...
If x is the number of ounces, then: x * 28.35 [oz -> g] / 1000 [g -> mg]
If you switch the places of the * and the / signs you get the right formula. |
