I dont think competition like that inspires creativity. I also don't think we have enough mature people here to be able to handle 'losing'. If someone wants to do that with you, go for it, but don't be surprised if your topics get locked here because someone gets angry about being 'beaten'.

oh believe you me i know there are a bunch of sore losers out there but that's why you have tryouts for the teams. in order to be accepted to a team you have to make an entry image. if the leader likes it you're in if not you're not. this would cut back on sore losers because if they don't like losing they won't join. i mean you don't have to be in a clan/team it's just for more respect.

basically, what need to be done is someone just needs to start a thread and say they are having a clan game. Set up a web site that teams can sing up and form teams, rules and gude lines will be made, a topic will be drawn (best to keep things on same topic so they don't get out of hand) and competition will start for a set period of time. Winners will be chosen by a popular vote (unlikethe U.S. voting system)

Again, you are asking people to accept someone elses critique of their work so they can be accepted into a 'team'. It's a bad idea. You yourself have obviously experienced it.

Whether you have a tryout or not, it makes no difference. Someone will get their feelings hurt because they didn't make it on your team. Then there will be this whole thing about flame wars back and forth. Why "this clan owns this other clan".

As I said, form these if you must. But I myself would prefer not to have some 15 year old kid crying on these forums, complaining how much so and so sucks and this and that because he "lost" or he didn't make the cut in a "tryout".

I think if you really want to do something like this, Shadowgod, you should just make a site or something, and start doing it. Because I highly doubt that it will ever be 'supported' officially by the teamps site or forum. So just start something yourself, and then ask people to join if they would like.

it all sounds sorta geeky if you ask me. if you want to meet girls this is not the way to go about it.

("I am in Charm's Photoshop clan and he makes us wear kilts. Can I have your number?")
