This Autumn, first of september actually I will start my year as a Multimeda & Design Student.
This is the things I will look further into:
Graphic Design
Visual Communication
Layout & design
Image editing
Drawing & Illustration
Digital Images
Prints

WebDesign
General Webdesign
HTML
Images for Web
Desiging webpages
Flash techonology

3D, Video and Audio
3D-animation
Video Editing
Music and Sounds

It will mainly be aiming for making me fit for todays industry and commerce.
The study lasts over one year and costs me whopping 7400$.
The thing is that I have no other options, other than moving outside this country wich I have no possibility of doing right now.

Anyone else have experiences from private schools with whopping prices?
Are they really so good as they say they are?

Going to a school specifically geared for the area in which you want to have a career is a very good idea. Putting that on your resume is like saying "I'm your man."
if you stick with it and do get a job in that area - the cost of tuition will have paid itself back to you in helping you get your job and giving you the experience needed to earn a good living at it.

Graphic Design and 3D, Video and Audio would be more useful. Web design can be picked up easily without having to attend a formal class. I have friends graduating specializing in Motion Graphics and also Video Audio.. Got them jobs pretty fast.

Are you planning on learning all that in one year? Or is a 4 year program, and just $7000 a year? 'Cause you're only going to get a very brief and mostly useless overview of those subjects if you try to learn them all in one year. Each one of those bold headings you have there could easily be a 4 year program by itself if you really wanted to go in-depth.

And $7k a year isn't that bad, the university next to where I live is $550 per semester hour, so it's about $1650 per class. That's nuts. You can go to a state school for an entire semester for that price.

i agree with Deker...if you're gonnalearn all that in 1 year, you'll only touch of the surfaces of all the topics. Im doing digital animation (3 yr course) and im still learning new stuff allt he time after one year. You might end up with a portfolio full of unfinished and not-so-good stuff because you havent had the time to go into the subjects individually.

I'm just saying.. If he'll be specializing in something, those might be better options.

Same as I did.. I took an IT course, but the specialization came later.. But that's the way it works here. Wished I could have done the Digital Multimedia Design course instead.
