$7.50?!? The price of a movie ticket at the theather just 8 blocks from me is $2, plus you get free popcorn on Wednesdays. I go almost every Wednesday, since it's practically free.

$8.75 for an independent film theater near me, and $6.00 at most "mainstream" theaters.

We have "cheap theaters" around here that are $1.50 or $2.50. but they play old movies. and they're dirty and the seats are broken, and the whole place smells like body odor. literally. it smells like a locker room. then there are the ones around the mall, they are $7.50. but we just found one in cleveland that's brand new, and the matinee's are $5.00, and the features are $7.00. sweet. it's also brand new and has nice stadium seating and huge screens. hooray.

Cleveland isn't very close to where you live. According to MapPoint, it's about 10 hours. That drive would make the $7.00 ticket price a little meaningless.

EDIT: Unless you mean Cleveland, Mississippi, which is only 8 hours away from you.

EDIT 2: Unless you (surely) mean Cleveland, TN, which is under an hour away. Forgive me for being a moron.

Cleveland, TN, yes. And it's less than 20 minutes away.

Plus I haven't read either of those books, or watched either of those movies.

Ahh... you're missing out, bro... artistic genius at its finest...

I have a feeling you live in a location where the movie theater only has 1 movie at a time...

Where the hell do you guys live? I live in NJ, where mainstream movies are 8 or 9 bucks. The only independent film theaters i've been to are in NY and they are, like, 12 bucks a pop. That sucks. The popcorn also is something like 10 bucks for a bucket. Then again, you get unlimited refills.

We have 2 theaters in town, both are owned by the same company and show new movies. The one 8 blocks from me just shows the movies that are 3 to 4 weeks old, and has 3 screens. The other theater (brand new, 7-screen theater) is still only $6.00.

enough about your stupid theatres...this is about taking an excellent part of a series of novels and turning them into a steaming, festering pile of feces!

You haven't even seen the movie, your opinion still doesn't count!
