Hey, My uncle is having a prob chatting to friends online..he cant. He uses MSN for OSX and he wants to use the chat function but it doesnt work with a friend who uses Windows. The video works fine, jsut not voice. Its the first release version of OSX and the latest version of MSN messenger. Has anyone here (using OSX) successfully talked to somebody who uses a PC, over a chat program? Cheers |

MSN Messenger for OSX doesn't support audio/video chat at all. I'm not sure how you even got the video to work... iChat -> AIM works with audio/video chat though, and I've done both multiple times from Mac to Windows. |

If you still use Jaguar you'd have to buy iChat A/V for $30. http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore.woa?productLearnMore=D2570ZM/A But it comes free with Panther. |

I don't think so, I think only iChat A/V added voice and video. Hence the Audio/Video part of the name. Why does he still use 10.0? How old and out-dated!

You could use Yahoo Messenger... It runs on even OS8.6 machines... http://messenger.yahoo.com/mac.php;_ylt=AkaU.VndmNE7z8wAf3uMl.hwMMIF
