I have a Graphire3 6x8 and it hasn't ever worked properly. I am very unsatisfied with Wacom. I installed the drivers, reinstalled the drivers, etc. The pen jutters around on the screen - a straight line is impossible. Support was hardly any help at all, and i am taking this sucker back ASAP. Nos. |

supah that's one sexy baby you got there. Serial? aren't they USB? anyway - good luck using it - show us the good stuff I have the same kind - Grapphire3. Before that I had the grapphire 2 version - and I used to work with an intuos - the old kind. I never had any problems with any of them. Wacom is the standard when it comes to graphic tablets and it's not just fancy talk - they do know their bussiness. Maybe there are some conflicts with other stuff you have installed? I know one cause for "jittery" pointers is that you may have both mouse and pen over the tablet surface at the same time. But there's plenty that could go wrong. Are you on USB or serial? They come with those adapter things - have you tried switching to another port? Have you owned a tablet manufactured by Genius? Those leave some crappy stuff that prevents the wacom drivers from working properly.... |

Perhaps you can help me, then. It's a Graphire3 (USB), on Windows XP. I know Wacom is the standard, that's exactly why i bought it - i had heard great things about them. This is my first tablet, and i have tried installing it many times on many computers. I just tried again - and guess what? Now it doesn't work at ALL. The pointer does not move as i drag the pen/mouse across the pad. 1) http://dreamsforsale.net/done.gif 2) http://dreamsforsale.net/guessnot.gif This computer of mine is fairly new, so all i have on here is the operating system (with Office XP), PS7, Americas Army, Warcraft III, Firefox, and MSN instant messenger. Support always tells me that it's the frequency from the monitor - it is causing the pointer to jitter. That still doesn't explain why i get absolutely no response, sometimes. Should i just take this back? Will they accept it without a reciept? I don't have the tin plastic molding used to hold the pad in the box, either. Nos. |
