ยต23, try adding a <br> tag or 2 before your sig code, or make a small transparent gif big enough to 'push it down' from the line.

MBB... Thanks for the suggestions, but part of the reason I made that sig the way I did was to keep it small (footprint) and to keep it small (file size). The way the code was originally, it was all nicely arranged heirachically, the way you'd see it in a nice HTML editor. That caused this BBS script to interpret it as having a bunch of [br] tags in it. The first time I used it in this forum, it was pushed w-a-a-a-y down, and I thought it was inconsiderate to take up that much vertical screen space. So, I went in and removed all the spaces, which effectively closed the gap between it and the bottom line of my posted text. I just wish that little line above it was gone, or extended the full width of the window. Otherwise, I think it's superfluous and serves no purpose. |

Well, one br tag helps a little, as you can see by my temporary sig. :D The line can sometimes serve a purpose. Check out one of killkennycat's recent posts at DBM. That will show it's sometimes usefulness. At least for those that might have text only sigs. I read 3 or 4 of her posts (well skimmed past them, before I actually realized that was a sig.) edit - But I do understand your point. :D edit again - forget it. i swapped back. Figured I'd end up confusing alot of people on the board, seeing your sig in all my old posts. :D |
