Looks like one of those crazy remote control cars they sell at Toys 'R Us.
lol hummers.
i can almost guarantee they'll do exactly the same thing they do whenever they make a sodding prequel (see star wars) the hero will have better gadgets / cars / etc / etc / costumes / etc, but is supposed to be set before he even had a bloody boomerang thing.

should be good though. :D
Yah I think it took him awhile to get it right.

Shoot look at the early batman shows. He's driving around in a convertable. "Don't worry Robin, we're safe as long as they only shoot at the front of the car."

I wanted to make a good batman prequel, which, if that car is any indication, this film surely will not be. The first batmobile should look probably the most like a normal car, only pimped out enough to make it look like a batmobile. That one doesn't even look mildly retro. I mean, it's cool as a piece of batman gear, but not as the friggin batmobile. Maybe some kinda offroad something or other, but I think we can all agree, the batmobile is almost as important as batman himself. I think they're off to a bad start with this whole thing.

pganguly nailed it. the problem i have with this whole concept is that there's ALREADY a killer story on batman becoming batman. its called "batman: year one" and its a graphic novel you can pick up at your local comic store or probably even b&n, the story is fantastic and it would make a great film. if you're a batman fan go pick it up, you won't be disappointed.

Amen, brotha fig.

Also, the new Batman villain is likely to be Scarecrow, which I SINCERELY hope means that there will be some play in of arkham asylum in this whole story. However, this may be a mixed blessing for batman fans. You see, if you can't do arkham right, then for the love of god, don't do it at all.

Nonetheless, there's no good reason that these films should suck to the extent that they have in the past. I mean, the scripts are already done. However, I and a few other comic purists believe that batman should be approached as a more psychological-thriller genre, than the special effects bonanza that it is sure to be. Also, I feel that it would be far more effective, if it were to be approached as a lower budget, grittier feeling work, somewhere more along the lines of 28 days later, rather than spider man, or the hulk. It does seem however that this will be a high budget film in low budget film's clothing, somewhere along the lines of daredevil, which was a staggering catastrophe. I think that when this whole comic movie craze dies down, that some comic company will have the balls to so something like turn there character over to a director who will not only keep with the original plotline, but also attempt to make the character/plotline halfway believable by playing up the human aspects rather than the superhuman. Also, I should hope that the do so with a budget in the thousands, rather than in the hundreds of millions.
