Enough of these crabby political threads, it's baseball season again! :D Anyone want to guess who's going to the World Series this year? mine: Cubs vs. Yanks - Cubs in 6. Other predictions? Barry Bonds hits 80 HRs? Clemens gets beaned in the NL after throwing at heads for 20 years in the AL? Greg Maddux wins 20? what do you think? |

Oh baby, I love baseball. Watched the Sox/Orioles game last night. Such a fix after the winter blahs. As much as it pains me... Red Sox - Phillies: Boston in 5 Roy Halladay had another rough season opener, looks like he's a lock for another Cy Young this year. ;) - I predict homeruns are down by at least 20% this year due to steroid allegations. - The NY Mets stlll remain the NY Rangers of baseball (Don't worry, Baltimore soon replaces them with this title). - Kevin Brown throws his entire arm out before his 10th start, thus creating a pleasant vortex that slowly but surely wipe out the Yankees. - Seattle sadly fades into obscurity, never winning their almost for sure WS (PS, get a real GM). - Vlady Guerrero finally is recognized in baseball, winning the AL MVP hands down. - Montreal Expos are relocated to...Quebec City :p - The Yankee's trade ARod to Houston for Pettite (Bogus trade, but c'mon, what kind of drugs were they on by not signing this guy?) - People still don't understand the Oakland A's And finally, my Jays stay competitive in the powerhouse AL East. 2006 baby |

My goals this year are to visit PNC Park in Pittsburgh and the newly-christened Citizen's Bank Park in Philadelphia. ((Dang those Pirates!)) |

It's just that I remember the old Three Rivers Stadium, and PNC Park looks like a nice park designed to mimic some of the best features of the old parks. And a hotdog at ANY baseball game is always good. |
