camera help

I have a sony DSC - P70 and I love it alot , it doesn't have alot of "manual" features.. but it takes really awesome shots, and I've managed to get really great night time photo's too.
so really the only thing it doesn't have is macro abilities. and support for micro drive.
but it has a decent price.

if not .. if you want a good camera, get a canon or an olympus.. don't get cheap on your cameras, because 4 days after you buy it you'll want more features, but I think someone already said that O_o.

personally.. I'm busy saving for a Digital SLR, for larger print sizes. mmm canon...

ok, i would've SWORN i posted in this thread earlier today. must've been one of those "forget to submit" things. anyways, i would go against the trend here and recommend a canon powershot, something like the a70 or a80 is not too expensive, fully featured, and takes great pics.

whatever you look at, check out somewhere like steve's digicams for reviews and info before you buy anything.

And when people tell you to get as much zoom capability as you can, they are surely talking about optical zoom, not digital.

Digital zoom is better done in Photoshop.

I have the same cam as zyc, not a big fan, then I got some balls and got me a canon digital rebel 6.3 mp. I know its not what you want but, just to let everyone know. It is teh win. ;)

i got my mom a canon powershot a80. awesome camera. can't think of anything bad to say about it.
