Dawn Of The Dead

I just got back from seeing this film. I was actually really surprised as to how entertaining it was. The acting wasn't cheesy and it kept me interested at the same time.

Has anyone seen the original? What did you think of this remake? I'm just curious. I haven't seen the original yet.

I'd have to say my favorite zombie films have to be 28 Days Later, Resident Evil, and now Dawn Of The Dead.

You guys should check it out.

I'm in a movie mode right now so I thought I'd see if anyone out there wanted to talk movies. :D

28 days later? are you kidding? that was one of the worst movies i've ever seen. probably because it was a low budget film, but maybe for other reasons. my girlfriend fell asleep on my shoulders. i'm afraid to see dawn of the dead because of the thought that it might be like 28 days. but, i might just give it a shot since it's not a foreign film.

I want to see it. I've seen all the classic old ones - Day of the dead, dawn of the dead, Return of the living dead. Couldn't be any worse than the original.

I have seen 100's of movies, and have only seen one that I actually despised, and wished that someone would give me my time back after watching it...that was "28 Days Later". By far the worst, and only really bad movie I've ever seen. It wasn't even remotely watchable...no clever dialog, bad cinematography, despicable characters, I can't find one good thing to say about that movie.

I've seen "Night Of the Living Dead", but I was about 12 and I vaguely remember it.

hmm as a brit i take it i'll be the only one backing 28 days later as a good film, the 'bad cinematography' matt was just making it more realistic because it was all shot on dv, if you want a bad dv film look at full frontal. the scenes in deserted central london were the british equivalent of the vanilla sky times square scene, the actors are all up and coming british actors, cillian murphy is in a brilliant irish film (intermission with colin farrell)
anyhoo i saw dawn of the dead last night, thought it was brilliant the way they passed the time with the guy at the gun store, and the way the ending carries on right to the end of the credits is top.

I totally agree with you.

Have you seen Omega Man?

It’s weird I’m actually really picky as to what kind of movies I like but 28 days later was a great film. I really liked the amount of detail and the whole idea behind people having to scrounge and survive in an almost baron city in ruins.

Yeah, I went and saw it lastnight too. It was pretty good. Very well done. 28 days later was and average zombie movie, nothing too great, but dawn of the dead is worth seeing.
