I have always been learning new short cuts for windows but I have actually never seen a list of them before now ->

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/home/using/tips/personalize/keyboardsc.asp

Didn't know this either...

Type the domain of an address, such as Microsoft, and then press CTRL+ENTER. Internet Explorer automatically wraps “http://www....com” around what you typed.

Not sure if the site uses a .com extension? Just type the domain of the address, and then press ENTER. Internet Explorer tries to find the site by using the various extensions.

I use 90% of those almost every day. The ones with the
key are the least known. I only use it to lock the computer(+L), run(+R) and open explorer (+E).

Another shortcut I like to use is CTRL+SHIFT+ESC in 2K/XP . It brings up the taskmanager faster then opening it the usual way....(I don't think this one is on that MS page)

I am definitely a keyboard shortcut user. The mouse was invented by people with too much time on their hands. The world would be a much better place without mice.

I use the most common ones but would not describe myself as a windows power user (perhaps that will change) - good call!

I hardly use the mouse unless I'm working in photoshop. And even then, I use the mouse only when I have to. I'm a shortcut junkie. :D

I get angry at people using the mouse to do stuff, I want to eat their mice and show them that list.

I use the mouse only when I ABSOLUTELY have to, like when I'm lassoing something, or freely aribrusing something, otherwise, I use hotkeys for everything.

Shortcuts are the best by far. And since we're on the topic dealing with windows, I have a question here, instead of starting a new thread.

Just the other day, every time I right click on an image from the internet, and go to save as, it reads it as a bitmap. Then I check properties and of course the image is a .jpg or .gif. Has anyone had this problem and how do you correct it? It's really starting to get on my nerves here.

Cheers! ;)

Zerimar, clear your cache. IE freaks out when the cache is full and saves everything as BMP, as well as not letting you view source on pages anymore.

Why do you people use IE still? Gees...

Deker...hahahahahaha, "Why do you people use IE Still?" Man, that made me laugh. What made me laugh even more is that when I went to view source for a site and it didn't give it to me, I figured they were just trying to hide the code from being viewed.

*looks in the mirror and makes the biggest moronic face ever*

Thanks for your reply tho' and I promise, I'll be getting Mozilla and Opera soon.
