I was looking for the paying jobs section buty i think it was removed for some reason. My friend is promoting some new clubs and he wants to pay $50 dollars a flyer. Its trendy spanidh clubs. So i guess the flyers should reflect that. I know 50 bucks is not a lot but this would be a weekly thing so i guess for some talented designers shouldent be so bad. (time guise). He was gonna subscribe to the forum but i told him i would post since he would only be posting one or two times. Well hope theres some takers. Let me know so i can out you in contact with my friend. |

It was removed because no one would ever actually be paid. I am not really confident in your friend's actual intention in paying for it. |

Confidence notwithstanding, given that you're centered in NYC, it may be wise to ask some of the other NYC based designers here if they'd be willing to meet you, prior to comitting to any specifics of the design project. Furthermore, it'd be easier for both parties involved of they'd agree to this archaic method of payment called 'check' that they could recieve, as our forefathers did, in person. I know this whole 'live contact' thing is an outdated notion, but hey, maybe our parents can give us some pointers on how they used to do it back in the day. At least that way, no money, no deal. The work is exchanged on the spot for money, likely at a high traffic, easy to find, public location. I'd do it, but I live about 5 hours from NYC. Any other takers? |

WHat would you say such an insult supahsekzy? Do you know me? or my friend? so what would make you say you not confident? WHAT are you talking about. Anyways in another note i could pay though paypal or some other payment service. I have a paypal account (commercial) i use to pay and get pay, im not sure if my friend is willing to open one of those up. It would be such a great thing to be able to meet in person but hey. And whats all this No money no deal attitude? The designer has to produce a Proof of work for the client then you get final payment. Come on guts seems to me like noone wants to work. Ok guys i hope someone will be interested. |

Well, the 'issue' with online design transactions is that the ease by which a client can copy a designers work. The only reason why I bring this up is that I was recently stiffed on an online job, but all of my other in-person deals have been paid ontime without any problems. In person, a designer can more or less just take his work along with him if he's not paid, or shown proof of payment. I guess I'll extend the olive branch here. Dreamdesign, I'm interested in doing the job, however I do not have a paypal account, nor at the present a bank account (long story). I'd have no problem taking payment via either western union or by mail. I've got some free time in the near future, and given that this is a flyer, and not a mammoth website, nor a corporate identity package, I'm willing to take the gamble on payment. Not that I have overt reason to doubt you, nor your friend. So, e-mail me at paulganguly@yahoo.com and I could show you some more examples of my work, if you'd be interested. Unfortunately at the present, I have very little online. My link is below, if you'd like to see that work though. If you'd rather do the entire payment via pay-pal, that's fine, just that at the present you'd have to find another designer for thie project. |

If you're comfortable working with a Singaporean designer, I can contact a friend of mine who's good with flyers and stuff.
