For some reason a bunch of designers thought it'd be cool to redesign their websites and launch the new designs each May 1st. Completely pointless in my mind, but oh well, do what you want to do.

I found a comment on that site kind of humorous.

Well, if they're trying to get everyone to do it, what's individual about that? :confused: It's more like a "me too" thing.

Redesign your site, but don't launch the new version until May 1st. That, and register on the site. Wow... I guess we do have a bunch of newbs :D

I'll be sure to reboot on may 1st. Im sure i'll end up rebooting a few times. Hell...i may even boot into dos. (lol)

I agree. I'll redesign when i need to, not when others say to. Funny....its a web contest.....yet in a way it kinda defeats the point of designing for the web. I mean you shouldnt just redesign at the snap of a finger so your website can be all pretty looking....you should have a reason for doing so, or a message to get across...just some kinda purpose for changing things other than "hey...its may 1st" ya know what i mean.

most people spend a few months redesiging, it helps one to strengthen their skills.. because the competition is always pretty tight :X, and its fun .. and since I redesign about 234892034823 times a year.. one more won't hurt :D, and I have a site I've been working on for a while.. just need to get it done in time :| silly deadlines.
