I thought it was the WORST movie i've ever seen in my life. It was boring as hell! And not a bit funny...i laughed for a second only twice and almost fell asleep. The storyline is useless and nothing happens in the film. Telemakhos, what are you talking about!!????

Was it supposed to be funny? (that's not an attack, I honestly don't know.) To me at least it was a great drama about a guy finding his true direction in life. I loved the cinematography too, the vast majority of the shots were beautifully composed and the acting was awesome. I guess if you were looking for some smack-you-in-the-face obviousness and simplicity in the storyline it was horrible, but it had many subtleties in it that kept me engaged.

Go watch Rambo or How High I'll keep my more subtle desires.

Very funny (sarcasm),

I was being serious. I dont know why this was ever released on cinema. Bill Murray made is bearable..but think about the film if he wasn't in it. Its a matter of opinion anyway. A good story will show some sort of progression with the protagonist, and in this case there was none really. There was nothing entropic about this film, all very redundant. What's this 'true direction' that the protagonist finds? By the end of the story he pretty much hasn't changed from when he started..except that he fell in love with his love (symbolizing lost youth?) and cheated on his wife.

Also, i dont like it when you tell me to watch Rambo..i study film at University and my standards are a little bit higher than that, thank you very much. From a cinematic point of view, I aggre that, yes it was very nicely executed. Its a matter of taste, nothing personal!..i like films to see progress more than this did.

I didnt feel it was all that great, It was decent, the relationship between bill and the girl seemed too fake to me. If it wasnt in tokyo i feel it would have been a pretty boring movie.

Heh, that was not meant to be serious. But the fact that you don't like the film as much as I do will be taken personally and I have sent a plague of locusts to eat your crops.

Eh, and that's cool that you study film too. I did a summer program at Boston University and I learned a lot about cinematography. I guess I am just a sucker for those sorts of depressing and semi-monotonous films, after all I like the Royal Tenanbaums too.

hey you bullies stop pickin' on Rambo - I liked the first one! I have crap for taste when it comes to movies ...maybe. But Rambo was fun! Random violence, American style what more can you ask for - it's the ultimate in entertainment....
...you and your high standards ha - movies are supposed to be fun - you go there and boo and whistle and eat popcorn and spit on other peoples' heads and try to make out with a girl stop talking about the intelectual "value" - there's no value! there's just guns and Boom! and Splat! and Whoosh! and Smack!

hihi - just watched The Core - It sucked soo much - OMG I loved it haha

Think I'm "bent forward" to agree with Mihai here. Movies to me is only there to escape reality, so drama's and girliefilms...you can have'em. I want violence, sci-fi, and such stuff in order to have not to think to much, I want fun and entertainment. Not "not without my daughter" -kinda stuff.

Patric.

But that movie I still haven't been able to watch til the end.
I thought it was really boring...but maybe the good thing happends in the end.
But I didn't have the patience to see that long.
