My friend Lars (Surrender) e-mailed this to me, under the heading ARGH!. You can read it here. If you can't get onto the site, dude to extraordinarily heavy traffic recently, just go to www.overclockers.com, and you'll see what the problem is. It seriously made me physically ill. I hope the friend he gave the remnants to can resurrect it. |
Look like someone finnally find a good use for those crappy G5!
see, that is exactly the issue. some people don't see to be aware of what can be done with a macinthosh system. let alone "andy" who replaced a perfect 3000 $ syste with quite a crappy pc (as even the pro-pc people will have to admit) just to do what the mac does best- digital music. |

They just like to tinker and see what they can do. |

It was a hoax... He actually just got a empty case from someone and put some pc parts in it to play a prank on his mac friend. http://www.overclockers.com/tips1133/ he didn't gut a g5 and said he would never do such a thing.

Most professional designers already like the minimal, clean design of Macs. Putting a flashing green light in it makes it look like a cheap PC case. Plus the people that use Macs probably aren't tinkerers anyway, and prefer to use the computer rather than tear it apart every few weeks to fix something or add a new fan or light... That's why many people buy Macs in the first place. I'd like to think of Mac users as people that would buy a Mercedes or BMW... And PC tinkerers as the kind of people to buy a Honda and put a huge wing on the back and lower it to 2 inches above the ground and put those stupid lights on the hood, and the neon lights underneath the car, cheesy decals on the side, and a big "Honda" logo on the rear window. |
