I will be flying to Chicago, then taking a greyhound home...the tickets are half the price if I fly to a major hub. Everyone who lives in Chicago can meet me at the airport and we can hang out :P

Btw...anyone taken a bus before? I am a bit curious as to what to expect.

I've never ridden a public bus... But I hear you can expect some weird smells, loud sounds, tiny, smelly bathrooms, and probably a 400lb man eating a steak sandwich sitting next to you! Welcome to america! ;)

As long as you're not on a New York City public bus during late night hours in Queens, you're perfectly safe.

The big bus lines like Greyhound are usually comfy, and have their own little lights and air conditioners. I can't speak for Chicago however .. *nudges pank*

A Greyhound is like a step up from a public bus. I wouldn't worry.

Yea, Greyhound is safe. I think. And I just found out from Mara not too long ago, she used to live like 40 minutes from me.

Oh...I forgot to tell you guys I have to go ahead of my husband to get a job so I can sponsor him. It will just be me and my youngest son going in the beginning. The rest of the family will follow when school is out.

It will be rough, but he is not allowed to enter the US with the intent of moving there without an immigration visa. I thought I could apply for a K-3 visa, but it turns out I was wrong. All hope was not lost... I was aloud to go ahead to be his sponsor. Sooo, I will stay with my family and work and save money for our new life.

*whispers... I will also eat a lot of fast food I miss* shhh don't tell my hubby, he will be jealous. :P
