is DBM Designs by Mark? Just wondering. Designs by Mark seems to fit your description. lol
Yeah, thats who I'm talking about. That's where I got my real start in hanging out in design forums a few years ago, and fell into the likes of people like pank and ยต23. I've never been the same since.

And yeah, it used to be a cool place. Then he brought in a couple of idiots like Rachel and Jeremiah (Sketcha) and then it started going to hell. Then it just...died.

That's how SomethingLeet originated too (for those that don't know). But then that place went to crap not months after it started and last I checked it's still full of crap. And it's sad that most of the members who left DBM for a better community, turned a better community into a bad one.

But I've stuck with Dr. Evil through 2 websites and 2 message boards. And working with him on a 3rd, so he must not be too bad. :p
Pank have you ever got any thanks or comments from photoshop?
Don't get me started ;)
Adobe is actually very well know for being asses when it comes to Public Releations. I've never asked for any "free" from them. I have paid in full for every PS version I have.

Do you think they would ever:
A. Send me a upgrade copy. Maybe just because I have a site like this...
B. Send me Beta's so I can help promote and explore new versions...
C. Send me a Mac CD to replace my PC CD when I got my Mac...
D. Ever just maybe drop a note and say thanks...
E. Ever respond to just "one" of my emails...

No, No, No, No, and No.

When I got my Mac I was told all I had to do was call the support line, tell them I got a Mac and ask for a replacement CD. Well they basically told me in so many words that I was going to be forced to pay for an upgrade. "We don't have any more PS 7 CD's". PS CS had been out for about 10 days

Well I really didn't want an upgrade yet. So guess what. I still use my PC when I need to run Photoshop. Thanks Adobe!

Don't think I'm whining because I'm really not. I never really expected anything. It just kind of pissed me off when that whole deal happened. Then I heard from a few other people who have had less than pleasant experiences with them.

Good thing their software is kick ass. They would have been in the crapper a long time ago if they relied on their PR skills.

Now from what I hear Macromedia really knows how to treat loyal followers. Maybe Adobe should read up on that.

** steps off soapbox **

Hey... I did't bring it up

I've found that the only time Adobe likes hearing from people is when they call to order massive amounts of software. I try to avoid dealing with them directly.

Oh, and does Mark's tutorial videos drive anyone else nuts? He needs to script those things....

"I don't know.. *random background noise* Its crowded in here, i can't think right. Are we recording?" ... Doesn't that sound familiar eh?

I wonder if those ramblings exist in his CDs.

I think this guy is a part time bodybuilder.

"That's starting to look really hot." (Used about 10 times in a 4 minute demo)

"Check that out" (Used about 30 times in a 4 minute demo)
