TeamStock

Hey Everyone,

Now, This is just an idea... but i think that it would be wasted if i put it into the collab or ideas section

Basically, I have seen that we have ALOT of VERY talented photographers here.
I have not seen any photos that any of us have taken used for anything except one off pictures just for keepsakes.

So, I am sitting here thinking..... Why don't we have some sort of Stock Photography sub site.....

I mean..... the way i see it, we can REALLY help eachother alot more than we do at the moment by starting up a Teamphotoshop.com Stock Photgraphy site. Don't you think?

The way i see it, is that we all pay for stock photos at the moment which. Why? when there are so many great photographers here with photographs that are just left sitting around. Maybe i am completely off the mark and people dont want to share their pictures..... but i think we should give this some consideration

I don't it should be connected with TeamPS if we do it at all, at least not in name. TeamPS is Pank's creation. It's a pretty good idea, I think if someone sets up a subdomain and someone codes some PHP (it shouldn't be too hard) we could have a little community photo database.

The person who comes to my head first is Sidez

but i am sure that pank would not mind having a stock database here..... he seems like a nice guy

I am not talking about if Pank would mind, I am saying that it should not be connected with the TeamPS site if made public unless Pank wants to put in some work too. No offense, but I would not want it attributed to his name if he did none of the work.

thats ok... all ideas are welcome.... maybe we should ask sidez to think about helping out with it?

I think I would rather stick sweet photos into istock so when people download them I get a few cents, just my opinion ;)

you need like 100 downloads right? 100 downloads for about $1 so what does it matter?

maybe thats what most people would prefer to do... but i think it would be a great idea to have our own little resource

I'd much rather just go to iStock as well. There are some nice photos here, but not enough to really have a decent collection, and many times I'm looking for an image with a certain theme, and that just couldn't be done with like 10 photographers. I'd just recommend everyone submit their stuff to iStock... They have like 80,000 images now or something, and you can earn download credits by having people download your photos. Plus we don't have to worry about coding anything, or hosting large images and totally sucking up someone's bandwidth.

haha - too late for me oh well - I like istockphoto - I just...wanna have my own lol
