Congrats! I wish I had gotten the 20gb, it's a much better deal since you get the dock and case and remote for onlyl $100, plus twice the space. Oh well, still loving my 10gb!

Be sure to check out www.ipodlounge.com for tips, good software to use with Windows, etc.

Heathrowe, yes the iPod is also an external firewire hard drive. You can even install OSX on it and use it as a boot drive to troubleshoot Macs. Don't know if you can install XP on it.

There is an adapter from Belkin that lets you plug CompactFlash, SD, Memory Stick, etc. cards directly into the iPod to transfer your photos directly from the card to the iPod's hard drive, etc.

There is also a voice recorder attachment to record directly to the iPod's hard drive, and of course it has a few games on it, syncs with iCal and the address book on the mac so you have your schedule, contacts, notes, etc. Using a few different apps you can get directions to a place with Mapquest, then sync the directions to your iPod, etc. Lots of different things to do with it.
