Has anyone used the mice (correct term?) with the scroll wheel in the middle that moves side to side? What purpose does that serve?

I set mine to zoom 8x. Works really well when editing down to pixels. Its great cause i can edit pixels....yet still see most of my composition at the same time...plus i can view certain parts/details instantly, no need for the zoom tool. Also u can change/disable the button as well (if only your friend new that lol) and what the hell kinda mouse do u have deker?? its sounds the greatest invention known to man. .... and yes...big sigs blow. A lot of times it actually makes it harder to find the content in that massive sea of sigs lol. |

haha. well, for going back in browsers, I'm just used to doing right-click->move mouse down .5cm->right-click (the right-click submenu). Just as fast as doing mouse gestures (but not as fast as buttons), my early Half-life days trained me well for the use of the mouse (I used keyboard for Doom :]).

Rodder, I have a Logitech MX500 and a MX700. They are the same except one is wireless. Both are great! 2 thumb buttons, scroll wheel with a button, left/right click, then three more buttons that are supposed to be used for paging up and down, but I set them to control Expose' on the Mac, which is incredibly handy. Then I have setup my Powermate to do zooming and stuff in Photoshop, which is really cool. |
