I've noticed all the new PM functions, and I couldn't help but think of the logistics of running a Teamps Mailserver. I don't know jack crap about how one could do that, but wouldn't it be cool to have (yournick)@teamps.com?

there is prolly a CGI script or something that does it out there........ but people would get junk mail and with the amount of members on here it would take up loads of panks space ........

wouldnt it?

Plus it'd be mo0chan@teamphotoshop.com :] I have no qualms with @nyc.rr.com.

Pank could probably selectively choose members to have addy's like those if implemented, or only allow mods to have them.

That would either imply we are employees of TeamPS, or TeamPS just turned into another Hotmail.

haha... yeah I dont think that would really work out. There would be a lot of users that never post on here that would abuse the entire thing.

You can forward you MX record to www.bigmailbox.com which allows you to have webmail for anyone at your domain. but there are ads and everything...

there is also Hivemail for offering free webmail at your domain, but it actually runs on your server, which would bring just about any server to its knees.

As far as I know the load of the forum itself is very heavy on bandwich....

Lest not add mail server... where hard enoufgh on the server as it is... ;)

Plus it could allow spammer to use teamps... a bad thing...

The only reason I brought it up is cuz of the fact that I just joined spymac.com, and they offer 25 megs of e mail storage, that I didn't even know about when I went to sign up. So, now I have a new e-mail name that's pganguly@spymac.com

Most of the people on here pay for hosting that comes with their own email accounts. I'm pretty sure they'd like to use the email they're paying for already.
