I was thinking about venting some steam here, but I realize there's no need to.

It's just a shame that I have no other choice of gender when it comes to choosing the mother of my children.

I'm an old guy and have seen and heard all the chick stories I care to...and have been through enough of my own.

Try being in a band with 3-5 people who—you hope—share the same vision you do about how things should work regarding the band and every other thing that is associated with being in a band. It's like being married, with issues escalated several orders of magnitude. I'm presently trying to offer wisdom and insight about these things to the son of a friend of mine and his presently-feuding mates. It's like trying to tame bobcats in a burlap bag.

Girl problems are relatively easy to work through by comparison.

Well I though I would go out and have some fun.
Because I haven't been able to do that for so long now.
So have been out partying now and I have found 3 chicks that have been fun...
But now...jeeez now they want something more...
And uhm I don't want to.
And it's so hard for them to understand that.
I have been single for 6 days so I'm not ready.
Jeez...
And now it's a mess with these chicks...

If you were, you failed miserably. Read some more. Quality humor doesn't require that you ask you audience: "You know what I mean?"

In fact, any statement suffixed with anything similar to "Knaw whum sayn?" is in danger of being dismissed by anyone with half a brain as disingenuous and is suspect of contrivance.

And quit drinking, .02. It doesn't work well for you. And get away from friends, family members and toxic associates who continue to do so, despite warnings and admonishments.

Band relationships certainly are pretty intense, and you don't even get any sex to make it all worth it!

I know band relationships are tense. one of my guitarists recently stole 40 bucks worth of weed from my drummer because he blew chunks in his house.

bummer about the lady situation - they're only as serious as you let them be. take control of your life, don't let anyone control it for you - including some girl you may or may not have had feelings for. here's an example:

I had a girl a few years ago, after I got out of college (a couple girls actually...) that wanted me to get all serious and be a husband / father figure type of guy. They would've married me in a second. All I wanted to do was snowboard and party and hang with my buddies - translation: I wasn't ready for that type of situation. The second one was a total loser. I like a girl with aspirations of her own. This girl, all she wanted was to be barefoot and pregnant, smoke 100's and cook mac n cheese for our 13 kids in a trailer somewhere. As soon as I broke up with her, she got with some kid and bang! got just what she wanted. (don't worry, I did the math - not my kid.) Soonafter, I moved away, did a lot of growing up, took a year off relationships and focused on my job(s) (that totally sucked) But, you know what - it was totally worth it, because I'm with a beautiful, wonderful woman now, who has all kinds of goals and a great personality & sense of humor - I have no intentions of leaving this one.

bottom line: hang in there, man. There's no rules or game plan when it comes to stuff like girls, in the grand scheme of life. Maybe, 40 years ago - but not now. Follow your own plans and the right relationship will find a way of happening.
