It saw the ol' PC in the corner and took off. Once you go Mac, you never go back. |

that's why they put them on cords guys, so they don't run away! I better get some rope... Anyway, that's a really cool little program. You just plug in your DV camcorder and fire it up, then you can even put it on a delayed timer (I had it set to take a shot every 5 seconds with that one) or you can just take shots manually by pressing a button with the mouse, or a keyboard shortcut, or just talking to the computer and saying "Capture 1" (frame) or "Capture 2". Then it puts them all into a little movie for you which you can send back to your camera, or open up in iMovie or Final Cut Pro or Livetype or any of those things to add a soundtrack and titles and stuff. Or you can save each frame as a still image in a directory. Or you can edit each frame in Photoshop or any other app of your choice to edit them. Pretty slick. I couldn't get it to export to quicktime directly though. I had to save it as raw video, then export it out of imovie. So i don't really know what's up with that... it's cool anyway though. http://www.istopmotion.com/ |

That's really smooth. :D Mac has a lot of cool apps that come for free and work very well for amateurs and professionals alike. At least thats what I keep hearing from your Misc. threads and Mac Toys blog entries. tom |
