He was being sarcastic. I don't think we wanted an answer. Fool. As for names, we think of a cool name. Wow. End of this thread. Been nice knowing you all. Wow.

:D The thread's not closed. I can still post. I think what the other guys are trying to say is that you should spend more time using PS and less time on the forums. Way less time on the forums. Your skills don't impove by asking others why they named their sites what they did. You have posted two digital artworks and two signature threads. Make more art! The reason people are giving you grief is because you are part of teamphotoshop but you hardly ever use Photoshop. You just participate in the misc. discussions. And give 2-line criticisms like "I like but but the red is too strong". Really think about people's art. It will make you better. And if you dont want to be better, you shouldn't be here. Believe it or not, I didn't even touch the misc. forums until like 5 months after I signed up. Not that that really matters. Basically - make some art. Post the art. Make some more. Thats what I feel you should do, anyways. tom |

Yeah. Sorry if I come off like an ass (which I am not denying :D), but try and actually DO stuff. Not just ask people questions about it. You will get a sense of what looks good and what doesn't better if you experiment. Just makes some layouts no matter how bad they may look to you, post them for criticism then improve them. People will be a lot more willing to help when you have something to show.

I think a good quote, (Although i'm just repeating what they said) is that you don't get good at soccer by watching soccer games, and you don't get good at playing the guitar just by listening to people play. (so i stole that from my chemistry textbook. sue me.) You actually have to do it yourself. That's how most of the people here got to where they are now, and that's how they will get to where they're going - not spending a cent on education, just by self-education. trust me it does wonders. I honestly would never have believed you would have the nerve to ever say that. I've said it once and I'll say it one more time... Pot: "Hey Kettle, you sure are black." ^Lame but funny to say... :D |

You can try using a Thesaurus or think of names that are meaningful to you. You can think of things that best represents your style or the type of work you want to do. This is a pretty broad question though. |
