If you had a choice between living 1 year and having all the money and things (and experiences) you wanted or living the rest of your life poor. Which would you pick?

Define poor first. The wealth part you defined, but there are many levels of poor.

Ok, because poverty level poor is much different then living on the streets. The contrast would be better with having Mega Rich for one year or live on the streets for a lifetime. You could get a better idea of what people value more this way. Most of us either don't make lots of money yet or lots of you still live with your parents, so in a sense, we are already living at a certain poverty level, yet enjoy our lifestyle. Giving two extremes is better in making people think.

If we have all the experiences we possibly wanted, then what life is left to enjoy? Why give me a year, give me a day and I'll leave a legacy for eternity. Next please.
