Hi again,

I'm trying to scan a catalogue (ca. 17x23 cm) with my Agfa e50 SnapScan, but the results are absolutely not good!! I've tried to scan it also at very high dpi, but the colours are not nice and above all the details are horrible....

Do you think that exist some particular software to scan the pictures with better results, or do I have to change the scanner?

Thanx

mm, hard to say. the colors can be adjusted in photoshop so i wouldn't worry about that aspect as much. what's wrong with the details? is it blurry, grainy, blocky, etc.? also, what do you need the scan for? are you using it online, needing to reprint it, etc.?

Are you scanning from Photoshop or from your free scanner software? You should be able to import twain (choose your scanner) and get good results.

yeah
skewing an image on the scanner is an old trick - It also removes the hard embedded, invisible watermarks like the Digimarc filter
They ddin't say that though haha

You need to use little tricks otherwise you get a moire pattern which I would guess is what you are getting.

well, I know that I can adjust the colours from Photoshop....but I have to scan a catalogue of 50 pages and I wouldn't like to adjust it all of them with photoshop...anyway I have red the article on this web page http://www.ephotozine.com/techniques/viewtechnique.cfm?recid=187 and I will try their suggestions.

You can use batch processes. Create an action on one of the scanned images, scan all your images to a folder, then run a batch on all images in that folder.
