Hi all!! Any of you has some experience with .emf files? I have created a logo with adobe illustrator and I want to use it with a MS Word file to create a letter head. So I have converted the file in the .emf format, which is the only one that keeps the original quality (I have tried with .jpg .gif and .tiff but the quality becomes awful).
Now when I use the file with my PC there are no problems, but when I use the file to another PC I have found that my logo has been cut!!
Please help me, maybe I should use another file format?

P.S. I think that I know which is the problem, in fact on my pc has been installed Office Xp while on the other PCs there is Office 2000, but I need to know how can I solve the problem!!!

.tiff doesnt do any compression and is an easy format to port to other software, so not sure why that was a problem. .eps is another good one for sharing between vector programs.

Can't you just use illustrator to create the letterhead?

try to create a logo with Illustrator and then export as tif and past it into MS Word... you'll find that the colours and the text that you have created will become ugly.

Unfortunately I cannot use eps because I can't use eps files on MS Word

For what concern using directly Illustrator, well I need to create a lot of documents and so I need to use Word...

The solution should be another one...

I've noticed that Word does odd things to image files...especially TIFFs. Maroons come out purple, etc. The only way I've gotten images to really turn out how I want them to in Word is to use BMPs

Try Adobe Pagmaker... i dont think that 2000 would matter 2000 is more stable anyways. if you want to make many copys Pagemaker is the program you want. i'm sure it will help you you can even import the illustrator file right there or even psd file doesnt matter. also dont (file, open) rather you should (file, PLACE) i hope that helps...
