Ok OK editing again. Does anyone know where I can get one of those software programs that they run on the comps at computer lan centers that lock up certain features and so on. I gotta get my hands on a copy of that software. Also does anyone know where to buy bulk computer hardware and stuff, geforce and p4 wise.

That's built into any OS. Its called Administrator versus User priviledges. When you create a new user Control panel -> admin tools -> Computer Management -> Local Users and Groups --> Right Click on user and add a new user. Don't make them an admin. Then they won't be able to install or alter on the system drive. Then in admin tools --> Local Security policy --> You have Account Policies and Local Policies. It kind of depends on what you are trying to do. A little more info and someone can probably tell you what to adjust in the policy. But you can do stuff like disallow access to certain drives, or partitions, disallow users to look at certain things, etc. |

You guys are nuts...., it's a lan center man, I know how to do all that already, but if you do it that way you can't control TIME usage. Anyhow thanks anyways, I got the thing I'm looking for, it's a software.

Are you opening some kinda LAN arcade, or something? As for bulk parts though, you may want to keep and eye on corporate sales of used systems. Universities, Companies, etc. Usually, you can buy bulk, and get them cheap. Also, there are other third party companies that do just that also, but then sell the used comps piecemeal. They're sometimes called computer 'recycling' centers. Check around for them. |
