hmm...... I actually applause for arnold although I prefer McClintock, and arnold doesn't have to be a good politican, he just needs to represent. If the mexican guy or Davis is in office, it's just going to be more and more illegal immigrants and mexcians, like that really helps the California Economy.

I only liked arnold because he seemed very sincere and I believe he's going to do a better job than Davis.

I respect each of your opinions though.

I believe arnold will do a fine job. He really does seem like he wanted this and he really will try.I liked mclintock but mclintock or arnold would have made no difference. so i voted for arnold. I don't think he can do any damage to us. At least when you think about it, more people know who arnold is then any of our last governors. even when you ask little kids. they know arnold. Pretty much everyone knows arnold.

Oh well. We will see how he is.

Well, having an actor NOT a politician as a governor will not lead to good things. In his debates and speeches all he said that he will simply fix things, not how. And the last time an austrian was in control of the government outside of austria... it was Hitler.

So an actor is ok to be President of the United States, just not a Governor of a single state? Hmm. But I see you weren't around during that era (well, not more than about 2 years old, lol). Although my personal choice would not be Arnold, if he couldn't stay afloat in the political ocean, he would not be considered as a possible elect.

And just think, if Arnold gets shot, he can probably take it alot better than Reagan. :p

Point well taken Mobile, besides, Jester, aren't you too young to be corrupted by politics? I mean it's not a bad thing learnning it but you'll learn more beyond just demorcat and republicans. Also I believe this event will help Bush in 2004 election as well.

Dude Ronald Regan was Governor of California - and he gave a huge tax cut while he was in office. He won by over a million votes and was re-elected by something close to a landslide. He did more good for the state than Davis could have ever hoped to undo. I still wish McClintock could have held on.

Considering the state has a democratic majority, think about all the mexicans and other minorities, unions, etc. McClintock didn't have a chance, in fact Arnold won is a major victory for the Republicans, although he has a tough road ahead of him, the legislative body of California is mostly democrats which makes harder to pass car tax, etc.

Schwarzenegger or McClintock, either would have been fine with me. I'm not from California, yet I would still liked to have voted in that election....and I don't even vote in local elections. As long as you have a Republican you'll be fine. In as much as I wish Schwarzenegger were a bit more Conservative, I think he'll suit you just fine.
