well i dont know, i just though it was pretty amazing that a 10"x15" poster could be such a huge file size.. http://www.linequality.com/images/huge.jpg took 30 minutes to save... i knew it was going to be huge but no where near 1.3 gigs. |

just curious... why Illy 10 when you have a perfectly good Photoshop 7? - Either way would be a large file, just wouldn't have to jump back and forth between apps.

k, i'll ask...why the heck do you need so many different files for a 10" x 15" poster? and what did you do to make them THAT big? chris |

no just that one file "usa" is the file im talking about. just that one file is 1.33 gb. and it got that big because i pasted a 23 meg pic about 200 times. http://www.linequality.com/images/usasmall.jpg i guess that would explain it better. |

ok, that does make more sense. for your next one i'd recommend one of two things: 1. resizing the 23 meg image into a much smaller size, saving it, and cutting/pasting that image into your main psd. 2. saving out the 23 meg image as a high quality JPG and resizing that into your main psd (at the small sizes you're scaling it down to you won't see the quality loss). you can probably save at least half a gig... chris |
