Honestly you're in the wrong place to be looking for a certified expert. Although there are some very proficient users here, who are one certificate short of being a certified expert.

I like than answer!! Actually i looked up that ace stuff....its really easy lol. I wouldnt call anyone with that cert. an "expert". The q's i came across were like "what does reselect do"..."how does canvas size work"..."whats the line screen for a brochure"....."how does an image save an alpha channel" stuff like that. My favorite question was "how do you combine 2 layers into 1" lol. If someone doesnt know that...they should not be in photoshop to begin with!!! |

Yeah, I saw those questions too and went to take the test expecting it to be pretty easy. It was a rude awakening. There were things on there that I had actually never even heard of and I have been using Photoshop professionally for 3 years, and just finished a six month Graphic Communications course. Needless to say I didn't pass. I am going to take the test again, this time I will be more prepared. I was just curious if anyone here had the cert and what it did for them professionally. I worked as a web deisgner for about 3 years, got laid off, and now I'm having a hard time getting back into the field. Agencies that do placement for creative work around here wont even talk to you unless you are certified in something, so I am going that route. Good luck to anyone trying to get their cert in A.S.S. lol |

really? in...let's see...almost 6 years of professional design work i can't recall ever having been asked about certifications, and i've also been placed by some good size agencies. its all about the portfolio, spend your time designing and not studying chris |

hey scotty - good luck on your next attempt as for the exam, I recently inquired about it in my area, but it seems that it only pointed towards a 'Photoshop Proficiency Exam', which to me is not the A.CE. exam. im in eastern newfoundland/Canada and im not sure if theres a testing center here...u got ne info regarding testing locations in eastern canada??? cheers heathrowe |
