Is it just me? Or is the forum slowing others computers down too? |

Maybe it's just me but when I sign on and come to the forum, it takes forever to type replies or new posts ... and the loading bar never fully finishes ... it just stops at the end. Other sites seem to work fine. Other forums seem to work fine for me .... but lately this forum has been slow. Anyone else have this problem? |

Umm...well not me personally, the forum is loading great. Record time actually. Maybe you might wanna check your system for anything lingering in there. But ah! What do I know. Cheers! |

Speaking of checking systems - has anyone ever actually finished defrag? All the times I run it, it goes up to 10% and then starts over from zero. I can watch it work (yeah thats my Friday night entertainment) but I'm not sure if its effective because it never actually gets above 10%, so of course it doesn't finish. Forum loading great for me. :D Maybe we're in for a skin change soon though. ? tom |

the forum works good for me no problems. And for the second question. Make sure you have absolutly NO other programs running including internet and screensavers while you runn defrag, any other actvity on the hard drive will cause defrag to restart all the time. Only in server can you defrag and have other aplications running with out givin errors. Try it it just may work. remmember try disableling everything else other that defrag. aND IS ALWAYS A GOOD IDEA TO RUN SCANDISK FIRST CAUSE A HARD DRIVE WITH surface errors will not defrag correctly.

Anything that writes to disc will reset defrag.

It's always best to defrag one disk while booted from another.
