Does any of this happen to any of you who have a design business? Yesterday, some dude send me an IM and was asking me if I wanted to join something that connected to 23 other businesses across the US. He said something about shareholder and stocks or something. I really didn't have a clue what he was talkin about. Anyone have any idea what this might have been about? Today, I got a great offer (at least i think it is). For 3 logos I was offered free bannerless hosting for 6 months with a free .com domain for a year. Should I take him up on his offer? Oh, after the 6 months I only have to pay $2 a month. I get 50mb space 1gb bandwidth. Um, I can't remember what else happened ... |

Um, well, I wouldn't charge less the a few hundred for any logo, let alone three. So do the math. Personally, I wouldnt do it, unless the logos were for a company that isnt high profile, or there is a chance they could fold. Do you still hold rights to the design? Will there be a chance these logos will be for a profitable business? Of course its your choice, but in my opinion, you'd be getting screwed. If I were to do it, I wouldn't be putting too much time into them. |
