You know, I must make a confession. The bg on my sig is a ...................lensflare!!!!!
I used those pesky little filters to make it look funny. Those damn filters. You're right, Mattboy, a lensflare might work. I use them occasionally, when it seems appropriate, like in a photo or a sunset.
Lates,
Justin

hi I'm Bob Mckerwin and I represent a foundation called STLF (Save the Lensflare), apparently many people in the "industry" today are out to kill this beast. maybe because he breads and lives in the homes of many less experienced, maybe because he is pointless, maybe because people just think hes a cheap excuse for art.... well we need to save this dying creature before it's too late, and when adobe 6.5 or 7 doesnt come with your precious yet demonic lensflare... WHERE WILL YOU BE?! thank you, and on behalf of the Save the Lensflare foundation, we all thank you... good night - Bob Mckerwin

I thought Bob Mckerwin and the STLF were dead! I saw the body with my own eyes! There was a nice artistic>watercolor filter photo of him above the casket at his funeral.

It's a well-known fact that computer graphics artists are only allowed one (1) use of the Page Curl effect during their entire lives, and this one use is to be limited to the privacy of your own home. Any attempt to profit from such use in any commercial venture is punishable by a fine up to US$300 + court costs, and/or revoction of your priveledge to engage in the production of computer graphics for a period of not less than 30 days.

If a client requests this effect, and you have already used it, whether in practice, or in any commercial work, you are required by law to refuse the entire job or find someone who has never used this effect and pass the job off to them. If you choose the latter, you are prohibited under the bylaws of universal artistic integrity from collecting any compensation as penalty for promulgating the use of such effect, and subject to fines and revocation as outlined above.

If you use the Page Curl effect in any work to be included in a representational portfolio, you will be stripped of any and all credentials as a graphic artist and will be required to find work as a Junior High School janitor.
